Local Association ACE Director

Purpose –

°To lead coach and player development within the local hockey
  association.


Qualifications –

°Strong coaching background. Level 3 or 4 CEP certification.
°Communication skills.
°Time commitment 4 to 6 hours per week during the season.
°Organizational, planning and execution skills.

Responsibilities –

°Lead and/or participate in coach identification and selection process.
°Mentor coaches by evaluating practice sessions and games and
  providing improvement feedback to the association coaches.
°Provide HEP training for coaches using principles outlined in “Coaches
  Who Never Lose” HEP manual.
°Establish and promote a coaching resource library.
°Communicate CEP certification requirements and CEP clinic dates.
°Lead player skill development through implementation of:
     Minnesota Hockey HEP Skill Challenge program
     USA Hockey skill development and cross-ice programs
     Local association skill sessions


°Work with the associations and teams to achieve the HEP game to
  practice ratios.
°Plan, organize and conduct skill development training sessions for
  coaches.
°Be a member of the local association Board of Directors and be linked
  to Minnesota Hockey District ACE Coordinator.
