Equipment Handout

Next Monday, October 16 and Tuesday, October 17, are the days to come to the Worthington Arena to get your equipment. We will start handing out equipment at 6:00 each night. Jerseys will be given out to every player and helmets will be given out to younger players until they run out. Due to concerns with volunteer hours and jersey care, the board has decided to ask for a check, post dated to March 9, 2007, for $300 when equipment is handed out. Once your hours are done and you hand in your jersey, you will get the check back. If the hours are not done, the check will be cashed on March 9.

You will not get your check back until you return your jersey(s) and helmets. Portions of these checks will also be withheld if equipment is returned in bad condition. In other words, take care of your jersey and helmet. Jerseys can be worn for game days by the varsity girls and boys, but NOT for Bantam on down. Jerseys are to be worn ONLY in games for these younger players.

Volunteer Hours

Some early volunteer hours for this year are still available. Helping set up the ice and boards is all that is left before the season starts. Contact Jim Kremer to find out when the ice will be going down if you can help. His number is 372-5781 and his e-mail is cjkremer@hotmail.com

There is an opportunity to attend a hockey mini-camp in our own arena.

Passion Hockey

Intensive Skills Development Program

Guest Instructors: Norm Maciver: Hobey Baker finalist, 13 year NHL veteran player and coach.

University of Minnesota Duluth All-time leader in career assists. Norm played with Mario Lemieux, Jaromir Jagr, Mark Messier, Brett Hull and Jeremy Roenick during his NHL Career.

Darin Thompson: Former Division III Player and Head Coach at Bethel University. Current Upper Midwest High School Elite program coach and Blaine Senior High Assistant coach. Darin's also the Ice sports programming Director of the Schwan Superrink.

Lead Instructors:

Fred Heinrich: Long time Coach and Former Grand Rapids hockey player and 2-time Midwest Selects coach. Current Assistant coach with the 95'

Christian Brothers hockey team.

Jason Schulz: Long time coach, Former Worthington Youth coach, 6 time Midwest Selects coach and current assistant coach with the 95' Northern Wings hockey team.

Skills, Speed, Checking drills will be taught to players

COST/ $30 Skaters, $ 15 Goalies, ( Limited to 25 players and 2

goalies)

Groups will be split Mites, Squirts, Pee-Wees.

Bantam and High School boys and girls will be together.

Remember that pictures will be taken Monday, October 23, beginning at 6:00.

Some teams will have practices that night after pictures are done. Contact

your head coach to find out which teams will be practicing.
